This winter has been unseasonably cold and dry this year. With that have come some amazingly sunny days. What better way to spend a cold sunny day than out shooting film?! This roll of Kodak Gold 200 film was shot on my Minolta X 700. I chose this camera because I felt it would help me focus on layout and context while handling aperture and shutter speed.
Discovery Park
The first set of photos is from Discovery Park.
Discovery Park is an old army base in NW Seattle. There are quite a few trails to hike in the area. On this day, I chose to do the main loop, which is about 3 miles long. This day had a cool mix of clouds and fog that lifted to show some amazing sun!
West Seattle
These photos are from Alki and Jack Block Park. I love the city views from the KC Metro Fast Ferry dock. Jack Block offers a beautiful view of downtown and a peekaboo glimpse of Terminal 5 and Seattle’s industrial waterway. Once, while walking in this park, I stumbled upon a House DJ playing music on a full sound system. It was pretty great!
